Community Bible Church desires to submit to the leading of Jesus Christ (Eph. 1:22-23; 4:15-16; Col. 1:18). As the head of the church, Christ has established guidelines for proper leadership within the church. Two groups of leaders addressed in Scripture are “elders” and “deacons.”

Their qualifications, and examples of responsibilities, are set forth in the Bible (e.g. I Tim. 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 6:1-6; 20:17-35; Heb. 13:7, 17; I Pet. 5:1-5).

In addition to these two groups, other committees have been established to oversee various ministries. Each committee is accountable to the elders, who provide the overall guidance for Community Bible Church.
